A hybrid inverter blends a solar inverter and a battery inverter into one device. So you can add a battery at any time without the need for any additional (and expensive) equipment. While this might cost a bit more upfront, it will save you a tremendous amount in the long term. It’s also a more efficient DC coupled system that will help you have less power loss over the short term as well.
